Access 2007 FAQ

Where do I find all the Access Options in Access 2007? (The options that were under Tools | Options in previous versions.)

In Access 2007 you can find all of the options that used to be under the Tools menu in Access Options. Click the Microsoft Office Button in the upper left corner of the application window and then click the Access Options button at the bottom right corner of the Office menu, as seen in the following screenshot.

The various options you can set for Access are under ten categories listed on the left side. Click on one of those categories to see the options. The screenshot below shows the options on the first category - Popular. To save your changes, click the OK button at the bottom of the dialog box. To dismiss the dialog box without saving your changes, click the Cancel button. Note that you might need to close and reopen your database for some settings to apply.
