Access 2007 FAQ

How do I apply Replication to my database in Access 2007?

In Access 2007, Microsoft removed the ability to apply Replication to databases in the new ACCDB file format. To maintain backwards compatibility, you can still apply and edit Replication for databases in the MDB file format.

To apply Replication to your database, you must first be working with or creating a database in the MDB file format. If you need help with creating a blank database in the MDB file format, please see the following page: Related Topic

When you are working with a MDB file format database in Access 2007, you'll see an additional group on the Database Tools tab called Administer, as shown in the screenshot below.

When you click the Replication Options button in the Administer group, you'll see the familiar five options for working with replication in your database - Synchronize Now, Create Replica, Partial Replica, Recover Design Master, and Resolve Conflicts, as seen below.

If you need help understanding Replication, please see the following page: Related Topic
