Access 2007 FAQ

Where do I find the option to view hidden and system objects in the Navigation Pane?

By default the Navigation Pane does not display any hidden or system objects. To enable viewing these objects, right-click the top of the Navigation Pane and then click Navigation Options on the shortcut menu, as shown in the following screenshot.

Next, select the Show Hidden Objects and Show System Objects options in the bottom left corner of the Navigation Options dialog box, as seen below.

Click OK on the Navigation Options dialog box to save your changes and then look at the Navigation Pane. You'll now see that Access displays all the hidden and system objects in the Navigation Pane, as seen in the following screenshot.

To hide those objects again, just open the Navigation Options dialog box and then clear the Show Hidden Objects and Show System Objects options.
