Access 2007 FAQ

I cannot find the Attachment data type in table design mode. Can you tell me why?

Access 2007 introduces a new feature that allows you to create an Attachment Data Type, but this data type is only available in the ACCDB file format. If you are working with a database saved in the MDB file format, you will not see the Attachment option in the list of data types. If you wish to use the Attachment data type, you'll need to convert your database into the ACCDB file format.
